FX.co ★ Luxembourg Unemployment Rate Unchanged at 6.3%

Luxembourg's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate stood at 6.3% in February 2026, unchanged from the previous month. This remained the highest level since February 2021, as the number of unemployed persons increased by 40 from January to reach 20,185.

Over the same period, total employment declined by 8, bringing the number of employed persons to 299,712. At the same time, the active labor force among Luxembourg nationals grew by 32, reaching 319,897.

Cross-border employment also weakened. The number of resident workers commuting out of Luxembourg edged down by 2 from the previous month to 14,044, while incoming cross-border workers decreased by 360 to 233,022.

In comparison, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was lower a year earlier, at 5.9% in February 2025.
