This increase exceeded expectations for a 0.3% decrease and marked the first monthly rise in a year. The house-only index climbed 0.3%, recovering from a 0.6% drop in the previous month. The land-only component also advanced 0.3%, after remaining unchanged in January. On an annual basis, new housing prices were down 2.1%, easing from a 2.3% decline previously.
